400,000 Page Views on HubPages
74HubPages
If you have ever wanted to write professionally or just for fun, HubPages is the place for you. The HubPages platform makes it so simple to publish articles, essays, stories, poems, and art, that even I can do it!
The HubPages Community is a massive group of writers and artists who read each others works and provide valuable feedback. And you can make some spare change while you're at it through the Google AdSense Program, and other affiliate programs.
The HubPages platform makes it easy to upload text, pictures, and videos; and to rearrange them on the page until you are satisfied that you have an eye-pleasing presentation before you hit the "publish" button. You will also find a never-ending supply of fascinating material to read on HubPages.
400,000 Page Views on HubPages
February 20, 2011 my Page Views on HubPages climbed over the 400,000 mark. I have published 218 Hubs and I have 2,338 Followers of my Hub Pages.
There have been 27,000 comments left on my Hub Pages. This interaction is a big part of the experience of being a Hubber.
In order to fully participate in the HubPages Community, I have read thousands of Hubs by my fellow Hubbers. If you want readers from inside the Community, you need to read a lot of Hubs and comment on them, as a way of introducing yourself to the other Hubbers. I will warn you that it is highly addictive!
By using various Keyword Search tools, you will also attract an audience from search engines. At one time, a third of my Page Views came from other Hubbers. I now get enough traffic from search engines that 90 percent of my Page Views come from outside the Community.
My Most Popular Hubs
Topics for HubPages
I have published Hubs about Television, Relationships, Photography, Painting, Aviation, Dogs, Movies, The History of the Christian Faith, Fashion, Economics, Science, HubPages, Home & Family, Travel, Space Exploration, History, The Teachings of the Bible, Baseball, Who God Is, Politics, Food, Writing, Book Reviews, Etiquette, Rock Music, and about my band White Summer. (I have listed these in the order of their popularity.)
You can write about anything your heart desires. Some of my other Hubs provide advice about content, images, and other angles to a happy Hubbing experience.
You will find that the Hubber Community is warm and friendly, and the writers are eager to help each other out. I have made many good friends during my 22 months on Hub Pages.
Yours Truly
I am a poor old country boy who never had no raisin'. I had to walk to school barefoot two miles—uphill both ways. All I ever got for Christmas was a sock in the face. But I'm happy!
My daddy told me that if it weren't for one thing there'd be a bounty on women. Of course, he also insists that "knowed" is a legitimate word. I do know that if you're dancing with your honey and your nose is kinda runny you might think it's funny but itsnot.
Never jump out of a perfectly good airplane. My grandpa used to warn his girls that if they got out of line he would kick them in the slots. My aunt Cherry always told me that ifn I messed up she would tear me up like a can of kraut. I did learn as a boy that you never want to go to the woodshed. And if grandpa says "Get me a switch" it ain't a good omen.
I was once out at a bar with my cousin John, who is like a brother to me. I was making good time with a gorgeous gal, but she had a butt-ugly girlfriend with her. John observed all this, and I thought he'd be sympathetic. I broached the subject the best way I knew how. I said, "Johnny, how long have we been friends?" He quickly replied, "Not that long."
HUBS ABOUT HUBBING
I have written eight previous Hubs about Hubbing:
300,000 hits on my Hubs is a celebratory Hub in which I write about my top Hubs of all time; and my least viewed Hubs of all time (and why this result baffles me). I also write about the awesome HubPages platform for writers; the importance of comments; what a Hub Page is; what subjects I write about and why.
My Experiences on Hub Pages commemorates the day I hit 50,000 Page Views. I talk about the HubPages Community; how and why I write Hub Pages; How I got started on Hub Pages; and why I love the statistics page.
100,000 Page Views Later is about when I hit that milestone. I also write about my concept and aims of writing Hubs; the writing process; and issues with censorship by HubPages.
Goodbye my Friends was written the day I quit Hub Pages in a huff over censorship, and because two of my Hubs were flagged for duplicate content. It includes a few nice pics.
One Year on Hub Pages in which I write about myself a little; the book I am writing; about how I choose my subjects; about my strategy or philosophy in regard to HubPages; and I touch on reading the work of other Hubbers.
Why are Atheist Social Liberals so Nasty on HubPages is about the abuse encountered by many newbies on HubPages who write about their religious beliefs or political beliefs (if they happen to be traditional).
Advice for Success on HubPages includes my ideas about how to get your message across; how to edit your Hubs; the importance of Word Count, especially for novices; how to assemble your Hubs; and the use of images and videos.
200,000 Page Views on Hub Pages was written in July 2010 when I hit that milestone. I write about what Hubs are; being snubbed by HubPages Staff; a bit about Google Adsense; and about having four of my Hubs demonetized by Hub Pages Staff.

I laughed so hard I almost choked! I've heard many of those "funnies" before, but have never seen them in print!
Great job, James.
Congratulations James!
This is very inspirational. I am just getting started on Hubpages, and loving every minute of it. You are right in saying that it is highly addictive! The community spirit is awesome.
Here's to your next 400,000 page views!
All the best, Cloverleaf.
Congratulations on all those page views! I've got about 1/1000 of that so far. :) I'm enjoying your hubs -- lots of topics that appeal to me.
Congrats James, I miss my old friend Dohn121 about Hubpages, for me both you and Dohn are Hubpages. You are for me the kind of guy I would like to be, but hell I am way too crazy, anyways I am always a fan of J A W !
How about if I put it this way: I sincerely doubt that Burl Ives' Big Daddy could or would rack up 400,000 views (and counting!) on hubpages --- no matter how much he'd be fittin' to, fixin' to, or feel that he might should, it just would not happen here. :)
Wow! But I'm sure that there's a world of difference between "Big Daddy James" and "Big Daddy Pollitt, the Delta's biggest cotton-planter," right? After seeing the movie, I just could never shake off how easily Burl Ives slid into that slimy role!
Yup, that's the one with burly Burl Ives as Big Daddy. Unforgettable!
I've just learned how to be a follower (on hubpages, that is!). And I'm enjoying one of the benefits of following (on hubpages, that is!): I'm notified whenever my followee spins his/her magic here. So it is that I saw GPAGE's avatar (apparently new) and read your question about it. I'd know that face anywhere --- Elizabeth Taylor in "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof" with Paul Newman. Once again, congratulations on this achievement!
Congratulations James for the great milestone. You deserve it, you are a prolific writer and your works are excellent. Blessings and regards.
Congratulations James!!!
JAMES! AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME! I think you are amazing! I'm so happy for you! Have you walked closer to me yet? (your little joke a while ago) ha You are and will always be an inspiration!!!!! I'm trying to get back to writing and real life keeps getting in the way! BUT I wrote another hub tonight after a few weeks of not writing at all! Anyway, I hope you are well and always enjoy your voice in anything you decide to write about......Always something very interesting and/or inspiring!!......Gx
You are an inspiration James. I hope I can achieve success such as yours.
Congratulations, James. You deserve it! I know your passion and your dedication in writing. Keep on hubbing and do the best. I am proud being your fans. Vote up!
Love and peace,
This is a very encouraging article. With all the latest negativity, I really like how you gave us some hope. Keep up the good work.
You are inspiring us to just hang in there.
Awesome James, Congratulations! I will see you when you do 500,000. You must be darn good!
Fantastic stats.
I have yet to get going on mine, you are an inspiration.
Peace
Congratulations... you have amazing statistics - so glad our paths have crossed. Best to you on the next 400,000 reads!
An inexplicably interesting read. I can't see the link between your best perfoming hubs, so I don't feel that I can use this hub to improve my own performance (please feel free to tell me the answer if there is one), but I hugely enjoy your choice and range of subjects - like everyone else it seems!
Well,,,WOW! James...Congratulations!This is a huge milestone and one that I only dream of attaining. You have a trusted reputation and can always be counted on to produce a hub that fills a need and arouses the mind. Love the funny images above, especially the couple on the bench. I'm still laughing at that one. Thank you for helping us all to do a better job here at Hubpages. You are so very kind to share your expertise. What can I say...I just love'ya James!
Fabulous news on the traffic. I currently have 8 profile views and 3 hub views. Oh well, start at the bottom as they say. May get there in time for the kids leaving home!!
Congratulations on this achievement! It is truly a beautiful thing, in my few spare moments, to visit your grand writing desk on Hubpages, to kick back and enjoy your fascinating hubs, and to witness the amazing responses that are generated. You bring people together in a positive way. And your honesty, humility, and obvious interest in your topics and love of writing are clearly evident. Fantabulous!
A esteemed writer? Me? Wow, now you are the one that are making kind comments! It does my heart good that some may consider me this way..I just wish I had the MONEY to show for it (LOL)!
You have done well mate, I hope I catch up to you sometime soon! I guess this hub has been a big help to your success?
Man alive!! Great job...I guess it is worth all the backlash you get from those you tick off (not me by the way, I am a fan)! Anyhow I am very happy for you my friend!
Inspirational, great job!
Good work. Informative. Love
Congratulations, James. Your work certainly deserves the sttention. Cheers!!
Congratulations to your success. I wish you the best always.
Congratulatios James. I hope to someday make it there myself. Love your hubs.
You gave me a good laugh for the day.
Congratulations on your success. I've always enjoyed reading your hubs. I'm still working on my first 100,000 page views.
Great hub, Mr. Watkins! I thought it was very funny and amusing :)
Oh, and congratulations on your page views! I wish I could get that many one day. But, like you said, it's a lot of give and take on HubPages. If you don't have enough time to read others' work - which I don't lately :( - then you can't get as many views on your own work.
I think you have given some excellent advice here, and I look forward to reading more of you work in the future :)
Nice Job, James! I thought I did well reaching one hundred followers and 12,000 page views. There is hope! I would be happy making some change.
Congratulations on your 400,000 page views. Quite an achievement on hubpagess. Cheers.
This is quite an accomplishment! Continued blessings to you!
I have been hoping that things have improved for you and your wife and dog and nice to hear that at least this HubPages milestone has been crossed. You deserve it and more. Best of wishes and may God bless you.
Wow a lot of good tips and very enjoyable to read.
Yay! 400,000 views is incredible and well deserved as is all the great stuff that comes your way!! :D Congrats James!!
