YOM KIPPUR WAR 1973
In 1972 Syria, Egypt and Jordan again vowed total destruction of Israel and began planning a new offensive. The Soviets provided massive shipments of military equipment and satellite intelligence of Israeli defenses. The attack came in 1973 on the most Holy Day of the Jewish calendar: Yom Kippur. This time the Muslims were ready. They amassed 750,000 men—more than three times the size of the Israeli Army—and had the latest Soviet technology. The Jews fought with outdated weapons again. The Arabs had superiority in war planes 860 to 480; tanks 3200 to 1700; artillery 3300 to 800. And they caught the Jews off guard and unprepared. Egyptian President Anwar Sadat said he would sacrifice 1,000,000 men to extinguish the Jews. It did not go as planned.
Israeli Prime Minister Golda Meir asked for help. The United States rushed military hardware to Israel—after they were attacked—to save them from destruction (Arab nations retaliated by raising oil prices to America by 2000% in the 1970s Oil Embargo). The Jews smoked the Syrian Army—again. They marched to within 22 miles of Damascus and could have flattened the city—but did not lob one bomb at it. Syria would have surely flattened Tel Aviv had they the opportunity. In the air battles of the Yom Kippur War the Arabs lost 498 aircraft—the Jews 4. To say the Jews made better pilots would be the understatement of the century. In the Sinai, the Jews slaughtered the Egyptian Army—destroying over 300 tanks while losing none. The Jews taken as prisoners-of -war were executed; Arab prisoners-of-war were well fed and well treated.
This would be the last time Muslim nations fought Jews like men. They had learned their lesson after four humiliating defeats in a row by a tiny nation. From now on, they would murder Jewish women and children; and then run hide behind their women and children. Muslims turned to terror and hijacking airliners, primarily through the PLO, which was armed to the teeth. In 1974, Yasser Arafat, the greatest of these murderers, was invited by the United Nations to address that assembly. American Leftists applauded as he said there is no place for Israel in this world. The U.N. was now dominated by Third World Communists and Totalitarian regimes, having lost its way as a force for good in the world. It could be said the U.N. has a mission to destroy Israel. Only the United States still stood up with the Jews consistently. Many countries turned their back on them because Arabs supplied 1/3 of the world's oil. No Arab government offered Israel peace or recognized its right to exist.
PALESTINIAN LIBERATION ORGANIZATION
Arabs living in Jerusalem soon found their standard-of-living (and city services) much improved under the Israelis, and enjoyed religious and educational freedom. But the Islamic World was outraged that Jews could now pray at the Western Wall and burial sites of the Jewish Patriarchs Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
This allowed the rise of Yasser Arafat, an Egyptian committed to the violent ideas of Franz Fanon. Arafat led terrorists, the PLO, who were trained and armed by Syria but based in Jordan. Arafat's public pledge was the destruction of Israel. He promised a generation of revenge on Jews for daring to establish a Homeland in ancient Israel. In 1971 the PLO was forced out of Jordan and fled to Lebanon.
Meanwhile, the Gross Domestic Product of the West Bank improved 80% in six years after the Six-Day War. Many residents owned refrigerators and televisions for the first time. Few who actually lived there wanted to be terrorists against the Israelis—their lives had dramatically improved to a higher standard-of-living than any Arabs living anywhere on Earth. But the 100,000 living in refugee camps in Lebanon provided fertile ground for PLO recruits.
The PLO forged a new national identity for Palestinians, refused to accept the presence of Jews in the Middle East, and had as its stated goal the elimination of the Israeli State. The PLO massacred Israeli athletes at the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich.
In the 1970s the PLO tried a new tack: the cultivation of perception that they were victims of the Jews—which of course, was swallowed by the American and European Left. The PLO demanded all land surrendered in war by Arabs be returned and the right for unlimited numbers of Arabs to move inside Israel; while continuing to publicly preach the annihilation of all Jews and refusing to negotiate with or recognize Israel as a state. All conquered lands were not only part of the original Holy Lands of Israel; they had been used repeatedly as staging areas to terrorize Jews, so it is understandable that Israel refused.
ISRAEL IN THE 1970s
By 1975 Israel boasted one of the most educated populations in the world—in stark contrast to the illiteracy in the surrounding Muslim nations. It became a nuclear power. Orthodox Judaism flourished (30% of the people), as did archaeology, music and literature. After the 1970s religion waned and Secular Humanists came to the fore, creating a great question: What is a Jew?
New Jewish immigrants arrived from America, Canada and South Africa. Americans admired Israelis as courageous, industrious people with the only successful democracy in the Middle East. In the 1976 raid on Entebbe, the Israelis showed the cowards of the world how to deal with terrorists. The few Jews remaining in Arab lands were routinely persecuted.
In 1979 Anwar Sadat and Menachem Begin signed a peace treaty brokered by Jimmy Carter, as Egypt became the first Arab country to recognize Israel. In the agreement Israel gave up the Sinai and got navigational rights in return. The Arab World (and the USSR) was outraged! Sadat was assassinated in 1981.
ISRAEL HISTORY IN THE 1980s
In 1980 Israel declared Jerusalem its indivisible capital—thus provoking more Arab hysterics. The Holy City had flowered spectacularly under Jewish rule, with community centers, parks, playgrounds, theatres, gardens—and that's in the Muslim neighborhoods. The next year, the Jews pulled off an incredible strike against Iraq's nuclear program, which had been made possible by French and Soviet technology and material.
By 1982, those in Lebanese refugee camps numbered 300,000 and many were recruited as terrorists. For a few years Muslims had lobbed bombs over the border into northern Israel. The Israelis grew tired of this and attacked under war hero Ariel Sharon. 15,000 PLO fighters ran away to Beirut where they could hide among 500,000 Muslim civilians, 600 of whom were accidently killed during the battles. The Liberal Press in the United States and Europe incredibly equated these deaths with the 6,000,000 dead Jews in the Holocaust. Many American and European Jews—no longer observant— became turned off by Israel. A Syrian backed Muslim assassinated the Lebanese President, Bashir Gemayel, and the PLO relocated to Tunis. Muslims had destroyed Lebanon, once the flower of the Mediterranean and the only democracy besides Israel in the Middle East.
The 1980s saw a new Israel, loaded with impressive talent in architecture, engineering and science. There were spectacular achievements in farming; hydrological technology; aviation; communications; software; military equipment; and solar energy (now in 2/3 of Israeli homes). Israel's relationships with Jordan and Egypt improved greatly. In 1988, King Hussein of Jordan separated the West Bank from his kingdom, as per the request of the PLO. By this time, 750,000 Arabs lived there and 500,000 in Gaza. There can be no question that their lives had improved drastically regarding economics and health, after 20 years of Israeli rule. The Jews—who had largely created this wealth—were surely richer than they were. But they could see for themselves that their standard-of-living was better than in Arab lands.
ISRAEL IN THE 1990s
The collapse of the Soviet Union allowed 500,000 Jews immigrate to Israel. Meanwhile, there was the First Intifada. This Palestinian uprising would involve 4,300 attacks upon Israeli citizens—because of a car accident. The Gulf War in 1991 was a disaster for Arabs in the Holy Land. 200,000 of them had worked in Kuwait and remitted most of their earnings to their families. 60% of the Arab wheat harvest rotted. Half of all Arabs in Israel, who worked for Jews, lost their jobs after throngs of them were shown on television ululated, singing and dancing in the streets in joyous revelry when Israel was shelled by Saddam Hussein.
In 1991 and 1992 there were peace talks with Syria, Lebanon, Jordan and Palestinians—which ended when the Palestinians insisted that Jerusalem be their new capital city and that they be allowed a standing army right on Israel's border with the express intent of killing all Jews. The Oslo Accords in 1993 were the result of the first face-to-face negotiations between Israel and the PLO. In the West Bank, except in Jewish settlements, the PLO took over education; health & social services; policing; utilities; tourism; and taxation. The World Bank loaned Arafat $2B, and Israel loaned him $60M, to fund his new administration. But the terrorism against Israeli civilians did not stop.
From 1948 to 1992 Eastern European Jews (Ashkenazi) held most prominent positions in Israel. All Prime Ministers except Rabin were born in Russia or Poland. The Sephardic Jews—from Spain, Portugal and Arab countries—were of lower economic and social status, which created some tension as their percentage of the population gradually grew. By 1980 Sephardic Jews reached 50% of the populace and their circumstances improved.
In 1994 Israel and Jordan established normal relations. In 1995 Yitzhak Rabin was assassinated. After all these years of war and terrorism, 500,000 Jews had given up on the country and moved away by the end of the 1990s. Among these, some of the 360,000 who immigrated to America were among the best and brightest Israelis.
ISRAEL TODAY
Jerusalem is the most Holy City on Earth. Its name appears 622 times in the Torah (Hebrew Bible or Christian Old Testament) and 155 times in the Christian New Testament. It is never mentioned in the Quran. Muslims claim it as a Holy City, though their holy cities are actually Mecca and Medina. Israel sits on 8,000 square miles. The Arabs have 6,145,389 square miles of land. Muslim children are taught in school that Jews kill children to drink their blood.
Today, the turnout for elections in Israel is 90%: the highest in the world. By 2000, 20% of the populace was Israeli Arab citizens (1,000,000 people). Tel Aviv, a city with a Central European ambiance early on, is now a sundrenched seaside metropolis, pulsing with beaches, cafes, and nightlife. On the Jewish Sabbath, public transportation ceases, businesses and airlines are closed. Kosher dietary laws are observed. Religious courts (100% Orthodox) have jurisdiction of family matters. All Jews serve in the military—3 years mandatory for men and 2 years for women (plus service in active reserves until about age 40). The State funds both secular and religious schools—the parents choose. The Leftist Labor government ruled from 1948 to 1977 when the first Conservative government was elected (largely because of support from Sephardic Jews who remember their treatment by Arabs).
Since the founding of Israel, Muslims, surrounding it on three sides, have been obsessed with destroying it. This incredible democracy—under siege since day one of its existence—has survived despite constant fear of terrorism, rockets, and invasions.

Hello, James, and thank you for a very informative hub. That Arafat was something else and I'll never understand nor accept that he ever got the Nobel Peace Price. It was the worst insult the Price. I know Mr Obama was a bit rushed but at least he promised to sit down and negotiate. Lets face it we had Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton who both done that and had great achievements.
Let's hope and pray all that stops because it is always the ordinary people who suffer, not the big shots. If they would be sitting there, hearing the bombers approaching, wondering which one and where it would hit. They would never declare war again.
Now, I really, got it off my chest and maybe you answer it. I know it is a very sensitive question and I don't mean any hurt. What is it about jewish people that they always persecuted? I don't understand. Where is the difference to other religions? Other religions are definitely not perfect.

Hello, hello— You are welcome. Arafat winning the Peace prize strikes me as a bad joke. I applaud Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton for their fine, hard work trying to bring peace to this region. It doesn't seem as if the Muslims value life the way Westerners generally do. I mean, one doesn't read about many western suicide bombers.
It is puzzling to me why Jews are so persecuted. I suppose it has something to do with standing off in your own group apart from the other people where they settled. This always gave them the characteristic of being the "other." But there has to be more to it. Some kind of spiritual dimension that perhaps we don't understand.

The decision by the Arab League to destroy Israel was the biggest mistake they ever made. They failed to understand that Israel is not an ordinary nation. The only time that Israel could be defeated is when the Almighty God, the keeper of Israel is no longer with them in battle.

I believe Muslims hate the Jews partially out of jealousy, as the Jews are very creative and industrious, but also because they think Israel's land rightfully belongs to them. Any negotiations with the Muslim nations' may seem fruitful, but won't change their intentions. It should be noted that there are many fine Muslims, including most of the nearly 2,000,000 living in America. I'm just surprised they (the decent Muslims living here) don't take a more active role in rooting out their bad apples in this country. The average Muslim would be better trusted and better thought of as a result. The evil Muslims have no qualms in killing Muslims who don't side with their radical agendas. That's for sure!

Israel is a special country because God promised the country to Abraham and his descendants for his faith in the Lord. Due to their disobedience, God allowed the enemies to conquer the Israelites. The Assyrians, Babylonians and the Romans destroyed Israel for about 2000 years until 1948 when Israel became a nation again. Praise and thank God.
God promised that He would bring the Israelites together again from the lands which He scattered them. This is happening for Jews from 140 countries around the world returned to Israel.
It was a miracle when Israel rose again from the dust in 1948 to be a great nation inspite of its size. God would keep His promise. Jesus Christ's return to Jerusalem had been prophesied, and we see the day approaching.

John B. says it right, though. There are many fine moderate Muslims, but Islam is bound by its own holy writings which decree that any land once taken in the name of Allah and his prophet can never be handed back. If any land so taken ever falls into non-Muslim hands, then it is the duty of every Muslim to make Jihad against the infidel and take it back. Israel now occupies formerly Ottoman Muslim land and so must be extinguished and the Jews exterminated like vermin.
Likewise, up to the Middle Ages, Spain and much of France were under Islamic rule and many Muslim fundamatalists believe that confers on them a duty to take them back, which is one reason why we saw the Madrid Train Bombings a few years ago. Nor is that an elaborate theory, the bombers admitted as much themselves.
Incidentally, there is a Muslim extremist plan for the takeover of the United States by 2050, and one commentator has suggested that they also plan to assassinate Barack Obama but make it look like a racially motivated attack so as to destabilise the United States in the ensuing bloody aftermath.
Please note that Israel is not the Great Satan - the US is. Israel is a side-show and if Israel were not even there, fanatical Islamists would still target the USA.

You dint touch upon the sabra and shatila mascres in which israel sorounded the refugee camps and let the philangist militia into the camps to shed the blood of refugee palestinian and lebanes civilians. Therafter ariel sharron having to give up his position as head of defence ministry. You mentioned that 600 civilians got caught up in the battles and were accidently killed when infact 300-3500 were estimated to have been killed by the philangist militian alongside the asistance of the israel army!. This otherwise an good article but in my opinion not balanced in presenting israel shortcomings.

The day after a Muslim killed the beloved President of Lebanon, a mortified Ariel Sharon seized the key junctions of the road into West Beirut, and allowed the Phalangist militiamen to enter the refugee camps. I believe your numbers of fatalities are accurate. Virtually ever Phalangist that entered the camps that day had had members of his own family killed by the PLO. Sharon was acting on his own, not with the approval of his government. The Israeli press was outraged and demanded Sharon's resignation. 400,000 Israeli citizens protested in Tel Aviv—the largest demonstration in the history of Israel. How many Muslims turn out to protest Muslim atrocities? On the contrary, after 9-11 Muslims danced in the streets and ululated for the cameras in jubilation over the murder of 3,000 strangers, 7,000 miles away—who were not guerrilla fighters but office workers.
The 600 civilians I mentioned were actually killed by the Israelis directly. I appreciate your comments and apologize for the lack of balance.

Ok firtsly I assume your reffering to the assisnation of president-elect,commander of the lebanese forces militia also a senior member of the phalange party.This president was assisinated in september 1982 after which the phalange militia subsequently attacked the two camps including the killing of the pepetrators family who by the way is't a Muslim. His name is Habib Tanious Shartouni; a Christian maronite who was an ardent member of the syrian socialist national party. I agree that Ariel Sharron perhaps acted on his own accord and to say that every member of the philagist had his own family killed by the PLO would be a misrepresentation of the situation. As it is clear that there was an ongoing civil war and infighting broke loose between the groups which included the philangist, maronites and PLO respectively whereby other massacres ensued as a reult.

I generally enjoy and agree with most of your hubs James. But I find this 3 part series on Israel extremely one sided. I could correct a pile of your errors but that would take 3 hubs in itself. So I will leave it up to the majority of the Jewish world from these two searches to correct you.

In fact some Jews in Israel are suggesting a one state solution where Jews and Arabs are guaranteed equal protection, not a two state solution at all. But that won't happen if US administrations continually stick their noses in where they don't belong.

What cannot be disputed is that there was no such thing as a "Palestinian" until the 1950s; That the "Palestinians have been kept in camps by their own brothers for 60 years, while an equal number of Jewish refugees were accepted into Israel as citizens; and mostly that the hate and violence comes entirely from the Muslim side. I never hear a Jew say "Exterminate all Muslims!" Israel was a desert wasteland before the Jews made it into a remarkable country. Naturally, there is always someone who wants what others have created, especially if it is wealth.

To me this is the lowest thing the zionists could possibly do, to try to convince the world that the Palestinian people never existed. Disgusting.
I once heard a UN official that had just returned from the middle east say on the news that the Palestinians living in refugee camps in Jordan, Syria and Lebanon have a higher standard of living there than people living on disability support, mother's allowance and social assistance do here in the west. During the first world war the British made two contradicting deals, one with the Arabs and one with Zionist Jews in New York. The Arabs in that region were our allies and were the major factor in defeating the Ottoman Empire. The deal the British made with the Arabs was that there would not be a Zionist homeland in Palestine. Contradicting this deal with the Arabs was the Balfour Declaration with only 5 agreeing to it, 3 of which were Zionists.
Note the Arab opposition to the Balfour Declaration was made by both Muslims and Christians. What is so dumbfounding behind the Balfour Declaration is the power and authority these Russian Jews had, that had just recently emigrated to New York after their failed 1905 communist Russian Revolution. I mean how was it possible that these Russian Jews in New York City could promise the British that they would bring the US into the first world war if a couple of Englishmen promised these Russian Jews a Zionist homeland in Palestine. I mean where would these Russian Jews possibly get the power and authority to promise US involvement in the first world war when they had just emigrated to New York City 12 years before hand.

The very day after Obama recently spoke at the UN the cement started to be poured in east Jerusalem.
Yeah a few Zionists bought Palestinian land but most of it was stolen. The Deir Yassin massacre is considered to have generated more panic among the Arab population than all other previous operations by Irgun and Stern Gang Zionist terrorists together and to have caused a mass flight of Palestinians in numerous areas. Because there is a Jewish population in Syria, Iran, Yemen and Turkey, all with Muslim majorities I believe the so called mass exile of Jews from Muslim countries is exaggerated. You say tomato, I say tomato. The nomads you refer to are the Bedouin tribes. They also took part in overthrowing the Ottoman Empire. The English certainly did not overthrow the Ottoman Empire without lots of help from the Arabs of that region. I believe there are still some desert dwelling Bedouins living in the Negev desert of southern Israel, unless the Zionists have kicked them out too. Actually there are over four million registered Palestinian refugees with the UN and that's just as of 2002.

The Dome of the Rock was put there precisely because it was the Holy site of Jews and Christians. It was artifically made holy to muslims. It is believed that this is where God created Adam and Eve; and where the Holy of Holies was located, the most sacred site in Judaism, once home of the Ark of the Covenant. In the 4th Century, St. Helena, mother of Constantine the Great, built a church on the Mount. In 691, after conquering Jerusalem, Muslims tore down the church and built a domed octagonal building on this spot for political reasons—to obscure that this was a holy place for Jews and Christians. This building is called the Dome on the Rock.
The Arabs came out of Arabia, after slaughtering the Jews who had lived there for hundreds of years (for rejecting Muhammad's message), and conquered the Holy Land in 635 A.D. This ended 300 years of rule by Christian Byzantium and spelled serious trouble for the 3,000,000 Jews living there, many of whom fled. lionswhelp— I doubt it. I'd have to look into that first question. I bought Niall Ferguson's great two volume "The House of Rothschild," which is well over 1,000 pages. I am not familiar with the story of the Bauer family. I am quite familiar with both World Wars, though. WWI has to be one of the most tragic events in all of history. There were many causes: countries had sworn to protect or fight with other countries if a conflict broke out; generals were over confident. It was about land and political power—as always. The problem was also that military technology had far outpaced old tactics—such as trench warfare. Had anybody known what the result would be, it would not have happened.

Nevertheless there are over 4 million Palestinian refugees registered with the United Nations. And the UN Resolution of Right of Return for them is still on the table.

You seem to be hostile over the word Palestinian, because you say they have a right to call themselves anything they want. I'll accept that. You should look at the census records of the Ottoman Empire done at various times in the 19th century and the early 20th century of the Greater Palestine (modern day Israel and Jordan). There was a place on the census for nationality. Those who you call Palestinians called themselves Syrians, Egyptians, Libyans, Ethiopians, Turks, and Arabs. There is not a single record of a single person calling themselves a Palestinian because that nationality had not yet been invented. Just as Yassir Arafat was an Egyptian who took to calling himself a Palestinian.
I find it appalling that Muslims couldn't bring them selves to allow Jews to live in peace on the tiniest of fractions of what they consider "Muslim lands." They were Muslim lands in the first place by conquest. You do know that right? These lands were ruled by the Ottoman Turks, who never called the inhabitants there "Palestinians." I myself know the topic from within and I wrote several hubs of truth. Nobody reads my hubs, oh well, no wonder- the truth I show is not popular.
I used to take part in forum discussion on the same topic of Israel and I noticed one and the same tendency- the same people bash Israel and the same people defend Israel. Those who bash Israel would not give an independent thought to the truth told by those who defend Israel. So, I just stopped going to forums, as I don't see any good in discussing the topic with deaf and blind.
When I give some info about life in Gaza, I am told that I am a lier and the info is not authentic. When in response I give the links to authentic Gaza sites (even in Arab languages) all my opponents just disappear from the discussion.
Of course, there are Arabs and there are Arabs.

My grandparents were from Ukraine, they told that in Ukraine, in Russia (and I suppose, in any place out of Israel) Jews simply had to be the best not to be expelled from schools, jobs, etc. Also, Jewish people always invest in their children's education more that in anything else, probably for the same reasons.

Why are the Jews persecuted? There are several things in play, one is that generally, Jewish people often rise to the top through industriousness and inventiveness (how do people not only live but make progress for decades while under constant mortal threat???), and typically, people who are not successful themselves, are often jealous of those who are able to make their own success. I'm probably wasting pixels, this is obvious stuff.
The more important reason in my opinion is that Israel is a "type" for Christians, their history represents God's relationship with his chosen people (also people who choose him). I recently read a passage in which Jesus stated, "And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake." (Luke 21:17).
The Jews are God's people, therefore they are hated without good reason except maybe because they chafe the world's conscience.

Not to sound condescending but I must say that you are very talented at convincing many readers of your version of the “bias truth” as you put it.
I’m sure if I made as much effort I could go ahead and give you a whole article of the Palestinians side and call it “the biased truth.”
If there is free thinking and logic nobody will take another mans land without a fight, and with that fight there will be violence and horrific crimes and that is where my compassion lies towards the Palestinians, just as it would and has to many people that have suffered inhuman actions against them including the Jews during the holocaust, including the African Americans during slavery, including the Cambodians during the civil war and many more.
My point was simply that Palestine was a country, that the humans that regarded it home lived there for many generations.

It is disturbing that you are even suggesting that this is about the size of the land. This is about occupying land by terrorizing another human being.
Peanuts— Where is your compassion for the Jews who live in constant fear of terrorism? Where is your compassion for their women and children blown up on buses? Who is the aggressor to this ongoing fighting? Surely not the Jews. You know the Muslims who have them surrounded have publicly pledged to kill every last one of them. The Jews are not terrorizing anybody. All they do is defend themselves. Would you not defend yourself and your family?

I have so much compassion to spread around and sometimes it gets the better of me (but that is another story).
Growing up I have always had compassion for the suffering and torment the Jews endured during the holocaust and always will.
The Jews have endured, but now they are inflicting terror. Regardless of their painful history I know many Jews, who are ashamed of the crimes that are happening today.
Firstly there is a distortion in your writing and the use of the word “terrorist” to distinguish Palestinian from Israeli atrocities in history.
Let’s define this word “Terrorist” because in all fairness both parties have been guilty of terrorising one another.
Terrorist: 1. a person, usually a member of a group, who uses or advocates terrorism.
2. a person who terrorizes or frightens others.
3. (formerly) a member of a political group in Russia aiming at the demoralization of the government by terror.

Since the quest for Palestinian depopulation, the Palestinians have been outgunned and out numbered. They have had no support from the western strengths, quite the contrary they have been persecuted by them.
The Israelis have the best trained air force, best arms and security in the highest form and not to mention the ongoing support of the world leader, the USA.

James, in reality since the 1930s with the aid of the British, and with the intentions to diminish a race called the Palestinians, in one year alone over 3000 Palestinians had died already. Would you like to give me the numbers today in comparison? Approximately 1.5 million Palestinian civilians have died since 1948! We’re half way there to the victim’s of the holocaust.
I think the number of casualties speak for themselves since the rise of Zionism.
There are documents and evidence to prove along with countless stories and facts about the homes and villages that have been forcefully occupied.
Imagine somebody claiming your home violently after you have lived there for generations, afterwards you have to endure watching a whole new civilisation and the renaming of places you once played as a child. Suddenly the map of your country is a stranger to you.
What would you do? Would you give them your home with open arms with gratitude in your eyes, or would do all you can to reclaim what you believe is truly yours? I think you asked me if I would defend myself and my family. This is what the Palestinian people continue to do!

There is no mercy from the hands and strength of the Israeli Forces. When they are about to embark on an airstrike they consider themselves fair because they claim to give the civilians notice to evacuate. In 2006 there was the 2nd Israeli Genocide of Christians and Muslims in Qana where civilians were given an hour to evacuate their homes. Most of these people live destitute lives and they don’t have means of transportation to evacuate so rapidly or even a place to go. Israeli solution = strike = body bags of innocent lives. Red cross.
The Palestinians are and continue to live in oppression. They don’t have any rights to move about freely, vote, have access and control over their own water, electricity etc. The Palestinians are in apartheid and are victims of a genocide as we write these words.
Please do not claim that the Palestinians are treated as humans. (Maybe you should visit the other side of the wall). I mean at the start of the occupation, why were the Jews treated as a superior human race that had priority over the Palestinians people for this land? I am not asking for a history lesson, I am asking for a human answer.

The word "massacre" generally means you round up a unarmed village into the square and murder them. When a terrorist blows up a bus full of women and children, and then runs to hide in a house full of his women and children, and to kill him there is collateral death, we can debate the rightness or wrongness but the word "massacre" itself is a weapon of propaganda. The former is a deliberate act to murder as many women and children as possible; the latter is to kill a mass murderer hiding behind skirts for the express purpose that either he will be let off for what he did, or his killing will take his family and friends with him thereby created a great propaganda opportunity. I think it would be more noble for the terrorist to give himself up and spare the innocent.
I know what terrorism is: setting of bombs on buses, in crowded markets; higjacking airplanes and ships because of who is on board, flying planes into the Twin Towers; killing Israeli athletes; etc. This is targeting the innocent for political goals. A military action targeting terrorists is not the same thing, anti-Western Civilization propaganda aside.

Absolutely false on all counts. In the 1930s there was no such thing as "Palestinian." There were Muslims of various nationalities who fled the 13 percent of "Palestine" after their five national armies attacked a one-day-old state. They had 87 percent of "Palestine" to live in (Transjordan). Those who did not resettle were not put in camps by Israelis but by their own Muslim brothers.
Imagine if since 1948 the Muslims would have said: "Hey, we have 6,400,000 square miles of land to live on. Let our Jewish brothers have this 8,000 square miles, which after all is undoubtedly their ancestral home." Imagine if their had been NO attacks on Israel since 1948 and NO terrorism. Do you honestly believe there would not be peace there? Do you think Israel has been the aggressor since 1948?

It is ALL ABOUT THE LAND. The Palestinians say so themselves. It is about land and to kill all Jews. Do you ever hear a Jew say "WE should kill all Muslims?" Of course not. Civilized people do not say such things.
Let's test your theory: let's say in the next ten years there is zero terrorism against Israel. Do you think the Israelis will attack anybody esle? If Muslims say "Let us be friends and live in peace. No more violence." Do you think this violence originates from the Israelis?
The Muslims do not want peace with Israel. They want it destroyed.
Look at the Oslo Peace Accords. Fatah, the group that represented the Palestinians in the negotiations, accepted the accords. But Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine objected to the accords because their own charters refuse to recognize Israel's right to exist.
After the signing of the Oslo Accords, the attacks against Israel intensified, an attempt by certain Palestinian organizations to thwart the peace process. The Palestinian Authority had no interest in stopping these attacks and was instead endorsing them.
Since the start of the al-Aqsa Intifada, the Oslo Accords are viewed with increasing disfavor by both the Palestinian and Israeli public. AND WHO launched this Intifada? Jews!?
I have been to Israel. I saw Muslims moving about freely undisurbed by the thousands. I was told it was unsafe for me to go to Bethlehem, of all places, or any Muslim held land, because any Christian might be murdered or beaten there.

He wasn't taught that= because it is not true. There were no Palestinians at all. 700,000 people of any kind were not "forcibly removed." 550,000 Muslims fled the war that their fellow Muslims started and that they applauded.
