FRANK MARSHALL DAVIS SHAPED OBAMA'S WORLDVIEW EARLY IN HAWAII

OBAMA NATION

Despite my title, not all of the people mentioned here are Czars but they do share a common radical worldview. They say you can tell a lot about a person by the company they keep. One cannot choose ones parents, but it is interesting that both of President Obama's were Atheists and Socialists. I don't believe any previous American President was reared in these philosophies.

OBAMA'S SOCIALIST ATHEIST PARENTS

FRANK MARSHALL DAVIS

Obama's early mentor was Frank Marshall Davis a Marxist who was a big fan of Joseph Stalin, murderer of at least 20 million people.  Davis taught Obama that "Black people have a reason to hate" and that Jesus Christ was simply a "Dixie Nigger."

TERRORIST, COMMUNIST & OBAMA PAL BILL AYRES

BILL AYRES

Obama's friend Bill Ayres, who helped him write one of his books, is an unrepentant communist terrorist who once said that after the overthrow of the United States government, which he hoped to accomplish, he felt 25 million Americans would have to be eliminated who wouldn't conform to his ideology.

Obama's preacher of perhaps 20 years, Reverend Wright, is an anti-Semitic, anti-American, Marxist, believer in Black Liberation Theology.

TIMOTHY GEITHNER

TIMOTHY GEITHNER

When all this came up during the Presidential campaign, Obama distanced himself from these people and asked the electorate to "Judge me by the people I surround myself with."  After his election, Obama chose people to surround himself with. Let's take a look at who some of these people are.

VAN JONES RACIST & COMMUNIST REVOLUTIONARY

VAN JONES

Timothy Geithner was put in charge of the United States Treasury by Obama, despite being a tax cheat. And for all those who blame former President Bush for everything under the sun, who was the head of the Federal Reserve under Bush? Timothy Geithner.

Van Jones was selected by Obama as Green Jobs Czar despite the well known fact he is a Communist Revolutionary and Racist.

JOHN HOLDREN

JOHN HOLDREN

John Holdren was named by Obama as the Science Czar despite having wrote in his book, "Women could be forced to abort their pregnancies, whether they wanted to or not; The population at large could be sterilized by infertility drugs intentionally put into the nation's drinking water or in food; Single mothers and teen mothers should have their babies seized from them against their will and given away to other couples to raise."

CASS SUNSTEIN
MARK LLOYD RACIST & MARXIST

CASS SUNSTEIN

Cass Sunstein was picked by Obama to be his Regulatory Czar despite having espoused "using the courts to impose a 'chilling effect' on speech that might hurt someone's feelings. He thinks that the bloggers have been rampaging out of control and that new laws need to be written to corral them." Sunstein also has advocated a policy under which the government would "presume" someone has consented to having his or her organs removed for transplantation into someone else when they die unless that person has explicitly indicated that his or her organs should not be taken. Under such a policy, hospitals would harvest organs from people who never gave permission for this to be done. Sunstein also has written "Under our proposal, the word marriage would no longer appear in any laws, and marriage licenses would no longer be offered or recognized by any level of government."

MARXIST ROBERT McCHESNEY

MARK LLOYD

Obama named Mark Lloyd as his Diversity Czar despite the fact that Lloyd is a Socialist admirer of Hugo Chavez, wants stifle Free Speech for Conservatives, and is a Racist.  A good friend of both Lloyd and Jones—who has also been invited to the White House three times—is Robert McChesney, who is on the record saying, "Any serious effort to reform the media system would have to be necessarily part of a revolutionary program to overthrow the capitalist system itself. Also, there is no real answer, but to remove, brick by brick, the capitalist system itself, rebuilding the entire society on socialist principles."

SOCIALIST CAROL BROWNER

CAROL BROWNER

Carol Browner is Obama's Energy Czar even though she is a Socialist in favor of a Global Government who oversaw the destruction of EPA computer files when she was the head of that agency under President Clinton in brazen violation of a federal judge’s order requiring the agency to preserve its records.

PROPAGANDA MINISTER BUFFY WICKS
SOCIALIST ANDY STERN

BUFFY WICKS

Buffy Wicks works for Obama in the White House and recently was caught trying to recruit artists to produce propaganda for the President using taxpayers funds provided through the National Endowment for the Arts.

ANDY STERN

Andy Stern is the head of the SEIU and the most frequent guest at the White House this year. He is a Socialist scam artist who has been described as a racketeer by none other than Ralph Nader. His organization is rife with corruption.

KEVIN JENNINGS INDOCTRINATOR OF OUR CHILDREN

KEVIN JENNINGS

Kevin Jennings was appointed by Obama to the Department of Education.  Jennings has said that he "reacts violently to anyone who professed any kind of religion."  He also is in favor of "diversity policy that mandates including LGBT [lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender] themes in the [school] curriculum."

COMMUNIST REVOLUTIONARY JEFF JONES
OBAMA'S PREACHER IS A RACIST

JEFF JONES

Jeff Jones is with the Apollo Alliance that President Obama allowed to craft the $787B Stimulus package.  Here are some quotes from Jones: "We are a guerrilla organization. We are communist women and men ... deeply affected by the historic events of our time in the struggle against U.S. imperialism."  "Our intention is to disrupt the empire, to incapacitate it, to put pressure on the cracks, to make it hard to carry out its bloody functioning against the people of the world, to join the world struggle, to attack from the inside."  "The only path to the final defeat of imperialism and the building of socialism is revolutionary war."  "Revolutionary war will be complicated and protracted. It includes mass struggle and clandestine struggle, peaceful and violent, political and economic, cultural and military, where all forms are developed in harmony with the armed struggle."  "We need a revolutionary communist party in order to lead the struggle, give coherence and direction to the fight, seize power and build the new society."  "Our job is to tap the discontent seething in many sectors of the population, to find allies everywhere people are hungry or angry, to mobilize poor and working people against imperialism."  "Socialism is the total opposite of capitalism / imperialism. It is the rejection of empire and white supremacy. Socialism is the violent overthrow of the bourgeoisie, the establishment of the dictatorship of the proletariat, and the eradication of the social system based on profit."

SUMMATION

I don't know if any of this means anything to any of my readers. The Left says that to even mention such quotes is a racist smear campaign. To me, it is a troubling list of people who influence our President. There are other pernicious figures I could mention, but this should be an ample sample. Many of the others are assigned to Education, which I may address separately in the future.

Wow. My grandmother used to always say "Tell me who your friends are and I will tell you who you are".

Is that true? Because my friend Danielle believes in 2012 and goes around telling people her crazy nutsy thoughts about the end of the world and catastrophe and I wonder, do people who know we hang out together think I am just as nuts?

My friend Donna I have known since I was 10. She is a Republican. I do not believe in a great many things she does believe in and visa versa, do people think i do just because she is my best friend?

My friend Sandy goes out cruising for rich men and rich men only, everyone knows she is like this, If I am going out with Sandy does it mean everyone who knows her will think I agree and/or am also cruising for a rich sugar-daddy?

My best friend from childhood was a heroine addict. Did people think I was into drugs also? or that I condoned drug use simply because I would never break off ties with someone I loved since I was 6?

I could go on and on because I don't make it a habit to surround myself with people who are just like me. That would be boring. I like interesting people and lively heated conversation. I can't get that without the diversity of the group I hang with. I love the array of thoughts and opinions. I learn this way. And I learn my best lessons from people I do not necessarily agree with.

I didn't think Bush was a bad person just because he hung out with Dick Cheney. People should be regarded by who they are. Not by who their friends are. There I said it, Grammy was wrong.

Everything is going according to the prophesies.. God looks at men's plans and laughs at them.

I wouldn't worry about who hangs out with who..because they will all end up doing what God wants when He decides.

Right now everyone is just proving the Bible is right..now that is great..

I love to read hubs like these..just confirms my faith in God..

Great examples of where we are headed. The so called president that as a man? I have no respect for, has chosen to be influenced by this gaggle.

As a nation that the people have the power to change, they have by majority (I am part of the minority)chosen this path. Somewhere in my mind,I cannot remember the chapter or verse, I think the Bible contains something to the effect of "a nation will receive the leader they deserve". I will be looking for it.

As a nation we are in for troubled times to the like never seen before.

Be wary of the mark.

Okay James you got me, this time I agree with you. The whole Czar thing just strikes me as wrong. I am put in the mind of the mafia, and Russian crime lords whenever I hear it.I think its indicative of a government full of too many chiefs and not enough Indians. Additionally most of these positions already had equivalent offices in the government to begin with. Should we just start calling the president "The boss of bosses?" Think I'll go watch Godfather now.

James, great hub. Obama chose all these people to surround him, except as you mentioned the ones who raised him. The media was warned in different states not to air any commercials that didn't show Obama in a favorable light. This started in Michigan, I told you the wrong state before. If I understand right in isaiah around chapters 60 or so the Lord says that when evil comes in like a flood God sets up a standard gainst it. As Christians we need to keep on telling the truth. Our hearts now have to be for the lost, and those that will open their hearts to hear the truth. God has told us to "come out of her" meaning Babylon. We live in a different kingdom. The kingdom of God. It's evident we will suffer as Christians but in the past we've just been blessed beyond measure, while Christians of other countries have suffered greatly. I guess it is our time to suffer for Christs sake. The good news is our destination is heaven, and our lives here are short copared to eternity. And Christ can never be separated from us- no matter what we go through- we do so with Christ. What a comforting thought! We need to keep punping out the truth on blogs before they shut us up- maybe we'll be able to get to one lost soul. if only one it is worth it. God Almighty has all the power, he's given satan free reign over this earth now and we're being judged because we did nothing about abortion or removing Him from the schools. We haven't fought to get back what was lost. WE will have to suffer but only through the first death, then we live with Christ forever more. What could be worse than being separated from Christ? And that forever! This place is not my home. I have a place prepared for me in heaven. Christ not only promised in his word He'd never leave us or forsake us- but he appeared in a vision and told me this Himself. It's nomore true for me than it is for you and others because He said it in the Bible. Now the birth pangs happen- before we can recover from one thing another will happen. and these judgments are for us from within- next comes the judgments written abut in the Bible. So for me it is " Come Lord Jesus, come quickly." The liberals haven't read the end of the book evidently. No, they've been blinded by the lord and given over to their own inclinations. As a kingdom dweller I can only now pray for souls who haven't had their reasoning so corrupt that they can possilby see the truth. Prayer and fasting are our only weapons. And of course the truth. The truth is always more powerful than their lies. That's why they want to shut up the words of bloggers. and take over all news media. We have Christ that won't stop us. With God all things are possible! We could even have a turn around in this country if enough people would turn to the Lord as their salvation and help. All I can do is trust in the Lord! No matter what it looks like God Almighty of the Bible has ALL the power. satan only has his permission to do the evil he does now. i look forward to the day when the god of this world is put in chains in hell forever more. satan knows his time is short-so he's working hard to take as many people with him to hell. The truth just stares you in the face, any rational thinking person could see it- their eyes must have been blinded and their understanding darkened, is all I can sumise Sorry I went on and on.

Not a lot of diversity there. Same personality and ideology over and over. Having a diverse group of friends and associates is not and indictment on your personal character. And the truth shall set you free! At least that is what we say! James you never cease to amaze me! You bring much needed information to the people! Many people do not know about Obama's appointments associations and beliefs. Unfortunately, many simply won't believe what is written and staring them in the face. Ignorance is running rampant in the Obama followers ranks! The slow destruction of America is happening right before their eye's and they are loosing many of the rights that the Bill of Right's and the Constitution give them. We are moving quickly from a President to a Dictator!

Robert 2 years ago

James,

For those who do not watch Glen Beck you are another excellent source of dialogue that needs to happen. Moonchild did bring up an interesting point about those we surround ourselves with and how we may be aquainted with their actions or words. I would counter however that Mr. Obama himself has expoused these views and while some believe that form of government would be more to their liking it is not the one that was founded here. It is not the one the majority want and therefore has no place here. Since most of those who want this form of government (Socialist) do not believe in God, but evolution then like the animals they should adapt and find a new place to live as the displaced animals do now. I am not equating them to animals but the instinct of survival will tell them to move to friendlier ground where they can prosper. We (the majority) like things the way they are and do not choose to see it changed. Most are intelligent enough to see that Mr. Bush failed in many ways as have many presidents in the past, however he did not seek to change our form of government. While Bush bashing may be fun it does not address the flagrant acts of our current president to undermine all that we have worked for and cherish. It is still the most sought out country on the planet. So while we need people of differing views and values we do not need those who wish to change our way of government.

James--thanks for the scary info. I was aware of most of these facts, but it is stunning to see it all laid bare in one place. Barry did say to judge him by the company he keeps. If we do, the only conclusion to be drawn is that he is an American-hating idiot like his friends are. Why did he even want to be president if this country is as bad as he seems to think it is? Maybe he should have done a Pied Piper and led his dumbass friends to a new land where they could form the nation they obviously desire.

I hate to admit this out loud, but I drank the Obama Kool-Aid during his campaign. I saw the light when I read his proposal to change some of our rights. To me everything you said here is a frightening reality. The economy is in the toilet, and nothing is being done to create new jobs. Outsourcing has not stopped at all, its just become more of a "hush-hush" type of thing. I personally know of several people that have been forced to take $6/hr cash under the table jobs because that is the only job available in the area. The bosses know that they can pay nothing to the workers, and get away with it. As always James, great article.

Men will be men and boys will be boys, one way to separate them is by the price of the toys, and the friends they have. I find it interesting when you have the better toys that you have many friends and just how you can choose your friends, good bad or otherwise.

A stick and a tin can were my toys, the friends I had those days are still my friends today. Some turned out great others well they struggled, but they still remained friends.

But when those same questionable friends expect me to look after them and appoint them to fat payrolls and important positions, its then "Red Flags" appear.

Win a lottery( not that I play them) or suddenly come into a fortune and you will have many friends. Obama won the lottery and he has many.

In the end its God who will judge, He will deal with whatever is not of Him.

Great Hub James...as always raises the roof in the comments sections...well done.

Hi James, I didn't know much about you untill I read this hub. You are just like Glen Beck. How in a hell will you characterize Obama in this bad light? God purify your soul.

When I was grad student in the mid 70s, I drank and smoke stuff just to socialize and date pretty ladies, I wrote term papers on socialist Cuba, use of monetary and fiscal policy by capitalist system steer economic development, the stock market as agent of charnelling funds into investment projects, etc.

None of these behavior define me as drug addict, a socialist nor a capitalist! We need not be narrow minded on issues like this, especially when you talk about President of USA. This is independent right thinking patriot. This is a typical ideaoloque tea party mentality.

I am surprised that someone of your calibre will stoop so low and put up a pedestrian hubnoxious writeup in public domain. (this is your right under our constitution to express your view no matter how negative it may be).

Jesus prayed for the poor, the homeless, the destitute, harlots, gamblers, etc. Who are we to castigate or condemn him as a leader of underprivileged and sinners?

Wish you best of luck!

James, if you were a poor man I'd find it easier to understand your love of the tabloid style, wherein lies the quick buck. I looked in vain for any hint of depth in this one. It's as slick as it is superficial. One could almost believe you are building a portfolio prior to applying for a job in Fox News editorial team!

But if it's true that President Obama's parents were socialist and atheist, I can only say it's a shame that he only picked up on 50% of their humanity and wisdom.

As the song says, "Life goes on within you, and without you" Although it sounds like major changes are going to bring down capitalism the reality is that everyday people do the work - the rest of it is a lot of talk (in my humble opinion) and political, sociological psycho-babble philosophical trap-talk just wastes our time. Some of the revolutionary thought that made the 60's & 70's so controversial has brought about some great changes, I think. That is, I guess, because what do I really know! If it were true that all these socialists were in power now we would already have medical care for everyone, wouldn't we? Or maybe not.

I would love it if you and OReilly and others who use the terms RIGHT and LEFT so regularly would actually DEFINE what you mean! Also what is RADICAL? what is CONSERVATIVE? None of these discussions can really mean much if no one will define their terms.

Great hub, by the way! I don't care whether I agree with you or not, I like your writing.

James, Great hub!! Very informative and unfortunately true. I am afraid that Washington is taking full advantage of this racist accusation. If indeed the majority of the country was racist, he would have never been elected. We as citizens must remember that it is our duty to question. I tried to make this point in my last hub. Thank you again for caring enough to voice your opinion.

Great writing, great topic. No one can accuse you, James, of being racist. I know the quality of your writing and the subject matter - which requires telling it like it is. I'm not too sure that SirDent is totally correct in saying Ayres is not a terrorist anymore. If he won't openly disavow his actions and the mind set behind his terrorist acts in the sixties, he's fomenting terrorist activities by his example if not in deed. He's a sorry son of a gun, so I guess we should give him the benefit of the doubt. Don White

James,

I see many of those who preach the diversity line taking exception to your opinions which are based on facts. Where is their deversity? Is diversity a one way street? I saw you compared with Glenn Beck. You present a very reasoned approach. I do agree with the facts Beck presents but he may have a manner of presentation that put off some people, but facts are facts no matter what the manner of presentation. There are more radical communists and socailists in this White House than ever habitated the Kremlin.

James A Watkins profile image

Tom Whitworth— I don't think diversity extends to Christians or Conservatives. Everybody but. I watch Beck sometimes. I don't understand how he can play videos of these radicals giving speeches and then Lefties say he's lying! How can playing a video of a speech be lying? Some folks are as nutty as the radicals on this page. I'd say the current administration would give the Kremlin a run for its money. :)

Hi James, I haven't checked out all of these people, as of yet. But I will comment on the two I did check out. Van Jones is in fact not a communist, at least not now. He did endorse communism after the Rodney King beating, arrested afterwards protesting, and having been locked up with communists (the charges against Jones were later dropped). In writing (that can easily be found on the internet) he, in fact, denounced communism later (LONG before being appointed by Obama to this position), stating that he saw that the liberals were getting much more done then the extremist communist were.

John Holdren indeed was the third author decades ago on the book you indicate above. For the purpose of inciting the masses (mostly by Beck), nearly the whole book has been taken out of context. They in fact were not advocating the notations you made, but rather this book was written when over population was a very big topic and they were discussing proposed methods of handling this, and in fact were pointing out that these were unacceptable ways to handle the problem. Before anyone says it, yes indeed, it does sound like a dumb book...like we would ever do this anyway, and I'll bet it wasn't a best seller!

When I get a chance, I'll check out the other names you mentioned.

James I do not agree with everything Obama is doing, but I am proud of the fact that He is the first Afro American President. We as former slaves have come a long way. I now feel that if you work hard you can be president or anything else. Blacks and all people needed this type of inspiration. In addition, many people put him in office. He did not get the position by his self, millions voted him in the Whitehouse I was one. The reason he is in office, is because the republicans did not fulfill their promise. I voted twice for Bush, because I wanted abortions to stop as a Christian. I am a praying woman; I believe God wills over ride any thing man think he can do. But I feel that we have a 2009 McCarthyism, were politically motivated people who are salty because they lost the election are making accusations of disloyalty, subversion or even treason without having proof or real evidence. I have gay friends I am not gay. I have friends who do not believe in Jesus yet I do. I have friend who believe in abortion, I hate abortion but I love the person. Their beliefs has not influence me. That is theirs belief I have my own. To me this type of talk, is a Third Red Scare or could I say Black Scare. I have always liked your Hubs, but this one to me is unsubstantiated accusations as well as demagogic attacks on Obama character of patriotism from his political adversaries. No one is talking about all the people like Jean Dixon star gazing and giving former President’s advice concerning our political affairs, or accuse them of being warlocks for getting advise from a woman that has a familiar spirit I Sam 28. As a Christian I thank that we need to show the world a more united front, until if it’s the Lord will and Obama be voted out of office. Because our countries defense depend on us being united other countries could use this division against in the long run. Let’s agree to disagree yet stand be hind our President, for the sake of National protection. Look what happen in the news, I do not believe it was just a person who had a mental problem, that shot our military personel. We as a country must united as one. This is coming from a viet Nam vet. Obama needs salvation that all.

Patrice52— I know that Jones was involved with STORM, a Marxist group. I searched the internet for a disavowal of communism and could not find any evidence. I understand he toned things down as he began working within the system—he would have to wouldn't he? This is exactly the strategy taught by Saul Alinsky: deny your true aims. I did find many outrageous comments on video by Mr. Jones. He is entitled to these views and I am entitled to protest his involvement with governing me and my children.

I understand Mr. Holdren wrote in this book a long time ago. My point is, there is a clear pattern of people involved with the President of the United States who have espoused extremely radical views in the past, were heavily criticized, and largely stopped saying such things. I still find this troubling and I do not recall any past president with this assortment of people appointed to government.

Here is a link to Mr. Holdren's words. If you do not find them chilling, I don't know what else to say.

Royal Diadem— Thank you very much for your keen observations and heartfelt commentary. Obama is my President. I agree that all he needs is salvation. I am not deliberately trying to sow division. I see many people proclaim that the President is a centrist and this is so utterly false that I was compelled to set the record straight. I don't care what color he his, he is the most radically liberal President in history and has surrounded himself with people whose views border on treason. I think it is important for people to understand this. He didn't have to hire these particular folks.

I hope the President performs great and mighty works for America. I agree with you that we need unity. I appreciate your service to our nation.

Patrice52 profile image

James, the link you provided once again took the statements from that book out of context. A stupid book, I agree, but they were in fact not advocating the opinions presented, but rather reporting all the theories on solving over population and how most of them were unacceptable. These statements WOULD be chilling, if in fact they WERE advocating them, which they WEREN'T.

I don't know why you're having trouble finding the information on Van Jones, but he did in fact denounce communism, in writing, years before he was appointed by Obama. I believe you would have to look for sites that are unbiased to find this information.

James A Watkins profile image

James A Watkins Hub Author 2 years ago

Patrice52— OK. I found these quotes troubling and you do not. That's alright. I performed a Google search "Van Jones denounces Communism" and came up empty up to three pages. Perhaps you could provide the link I was searching for. It is perfectible acceptable to have diverse opinions about what this all means in regards to the influence on our President.

Patrice52 profile image

Patrice52 2 years ago

James, As I stated, I would find these statements from the book Holdren co-authored troubling, if indeed they were advocating them, which they weren't. And again, I do find the book in the "stupid" category, and in my mind reflects on his judgement in participating in he authorship of the book.

I found the low down on Van Jones quite by accident on Politifact.com. Under Glenn Back, they gave this a "barely true" in that Jones was a communist in the past. They did back this up with the information I stated. By the way, this site is unbiased, and does give the truths and falsehoods of both parties, including Obama. Let me get that in there before someone calls it a liberal site. I like the site, because they check out the facts for you, and present the facts and where they got them from either way, saving a person a lot of time on research. Of course, you can't find everything here, but it does help.

Patrice52 profile image

Patrice52 2 years ago

I failed to mention, that I did find it a bad move for Obama to appoint Van Jones with his background into any position in his administration. I say that even though I do understand where Black Americans are coming from in their past treatment in this country, and therefore can understand the frustration Jones felt after the Rodney King beating. That particular incident on top of all the other mistreatment of their race in our country over many years, could make the more highly charged individuals "go over the edge". This, however, was such negative political behavior that it gave people like Beck soemthing to get hold of and use for their own agenda, even though it was in the past.

James A Watkins profile image

James A Watkins Hub Author 2 years ago

patrice52— "barely true?" Darlin', I saw a video tape of the man proclaiming himself to be a Communist. Are you saying he was drugged or something? Here's the thing: this is why I write some political stuff against liberals in the first place. They argue against videotape! Of all things! What I don't like, is people in public office lying about their beliefs or intentions. Because I see that as dangerous. And Alinsky preached doing exactly that as the Father of Community Organizing. He taught that if radical intentions were known, they would be rejected; so radicals must obfuscate what their intentions are and pretend to be patriots, Christians, centrists, capitalists—whatever.

Many notes have been found written by Vladimir Lenin in which he writes (privately) that he is going to make a speech Friday and tell the People he is all for the peasants, all about the peasants, what all he is going to do for the peasants; but in these same notes he writes (privately) that the peasants are ignorant asses that ought to be "gotten rid of." That is what this is all about. If you don't see it, that is OK. I've got nothing against you or Obama. All I care about is America and I have devoted large chunks of my life to the study of America and the history of political systems. Read the words of George Washington and compare them to this bunch.

James A Watkins profile image

James A Watkins Hub Author 2 years ago

patrice52— You seem like a nice lady. I mean no offense. My words are intended for educational purposes only. No one has to accept my message. I don't listen to much of Glenn Beck's words. But I do watch when he plays videos of people giving speeches and then I am amazed that people dispute their own words! The audacity! They surely take us for rubes. That's one of the keys to understanding the mindset of the "elite intellectual." He doesn't figure you understand very much.

Dan Rather thought it a big deal to investigate George Bush's National Guard record, going as far as accepting obvious forgeries to prove his case about flying airplanes 40 years ago—not subversion against our very nation. Did you protest just as loudly then?

Patrice52 profile image

Patrice52 2 years ago

You misunderstand me, I didn't protest loudly then and am not protesting loudly now. I'm only stating the facts as presented. Van Jones did indeed proclaim himself a communist. The videos were real. He then later denounced communism in writing, stating that liberals were getting more done with their work than the extremist communists were with theirs (long before Obama appointed him a "czar" in his administration). I also do understand that his declaration of communism at any point in his past is disturbing to a lot of people and was certainly something for Beck to get a foothold on. Therefore, it was a big mistake, in my opinion, for Obama to have appointed him to any position in his administration.

Although an independent who most my life leant Republican, I did NOT like Bush. However, I barely remember the National Guard/Bush crap, excuse my language, but I've never been into digging into someone's past to find anything to use against them in the present day. Maybe I'm aware that nearly everyone, including myself, has done or said something in their past they're not particularly proud of and wouldn't do or say today.

Appointing all these czars (and not on a temporary basis) who will never have to appear before Congressional committees and face up to questions and ultimately be confirmed is just a way to wiggle around the system and bypass our Constitution. No one ever has had so many czars in place near the top of our government. It should not be allowed!

James, This is a must read hub because it not only states ideas but facts and sources to back them. The far left in this country does nothing but obfuscate facts and attacks people who disagree with their policies (A.K.A Agenda). It is a fact that this administration along with the help of Congress is attempting to tax and spend our nation into oblivion. When they are called on these tactics, blame is immediately placed upon the prior administration. Americans are a very smart people, and are slowly becoming wise to these tyrannical leaders. (See Election day results 2009).

When Obama was elected, I decided to give him the benefit of the doubt and told some friends that since he really had no leadership experience, he would need to surround himself by good people with strong leadership backgrounds,in order to get us through these tough times. If he did this he could actually become one of our strongest presidents. He proceeded in surrounding himself by tax cheats, socialists, and marxists. Enough said.

You toss the labels "Marxist," "socialist" and "racist" around quite loosely, applying them to people most of whom are not Marxists, socialists or racists. You have a strange definition of these terms. And even if your claims were accurate, which they are not, you're trying to smear Obama by attributing their views to him. This guilt by association technique went out of style with Joe McCarthy.

James A Watkins profile image

James A Watkins Hub Author 2 years ago

Ralph Deeds— OK. I can prove the accuracy of these appellations. Any particular individual you think is mislabeled? Except the use of the term "racist" these people have claimed to be what I called them. Naturally, nobody says "I am a racist." I am not trying to say Obama necessarily shares all of their views. I am saying that he said "You can judge me by the kind of people I surround myself with in my administration." And he appointed these people, or works them on policy, or studied under them and taught their ideologies, or hangs out with them.

Ralph Deeds profile image

Ralph Deeds Level 6 Commenter 2 years ago

James, I don't have time to refute all the mud you throw up against the wall about Obama. I note that Frank Davis died in 1987 and was accused by the notorious HUAC, as were many others, of being a communist, during the 1930s. Wikipedia also notes that Obama recalled that Davis was a friend of Obama's father. Your claim that he influenced Obama as a child is pure conjecture and a guilt by association attack like those perfected by Joe McCarthy.

Your effort to attribute Ayres and Wright's views to Obama is just another wild smear. Nothing could be farther from the truth.

I'm not a big fan of Geitner, but if Obama is a socialist why would he appoint a protege of Goldmine Sachs to by Treasury Secretary?

It would be more accurate to call Van Jones a radical who worked to promote equal rights for African Americans than a racist and a communist. He was not one of Obama's most astute choices to work in his administration despite his credible recent record on environmental issues. However, to attribute Jones's views to Obama is a smear.

Your characterization of John Holdren is similarly innacurate, taking alleged remarks out of context. Holdren is a respected scientist and former faculty member at Harvard and Stanford. He has expressed concerns about over population and advocated access to birth control and abortion.

Sunstein is a Constitutional legal scholar who taught at U of Chicago and Harvard. Most of his views are actually pretty conservative. Again, it's a big stretch to attribute Sunstein's views to Obama especially on issues on which Obama has clearly expressed his own views (e.g., on same sex marriage) which differ from Sunstein's.

Carol Browner has had a long career in government. She was a target of a smear by Glenn Beck and is an environmentalist but far from being a socialist except perhaps by your own special definition of the word. The same goes for Stern who is leader of the largest and fastest growing union. I guest by your definition that makes him a socialist.

By the looks of this Hub you are campaigning to become a writer for the most pathetic loser in the history of cable television. Good luck!

“Workers of the world, unite!” — it’s not just a slogan anymore" Is a direct quote from Andy Stern, the most frequent guest in the White House. As I think you know Ralph he is quoted Karl Marx, purposefully. He also said "we" meaning he and Obama were going to soon "finally solve this problem of 223 years" referring to America. To him America is problem that needs him to solve it.

Carol Browner was listed as one of the 14 worldwide leaders of Socialist International, a group committed to eliminating American sovereignty by instituting a One World Government.

http://www.greentrackinglibrary.org/carol_browner_

Ralph Deeds profile image

Ralph Deeds Level 6 Commenter 2 years ago

That is a straight out lie. Browner is not a socialist by any normal definition of the term. But you don't use the these terms in a normal way. Environmentalist or trade union officer doesn't equate to Marxist or socialist. You must be watching Glenn Beck too much. Why do you think the page on Browner was deleted from Wikipedia? Because it was false.

Out of curiosity I looked up the "Green Tracking Library" to see what it is and what it had to say about Browner: It alleged she "has socialist ties" and this ridiculous statement:

"Political Danger. Most powerful official in the Obama Administration to determine the fate of America. She has dictatorial power to say yes or no to every energy decision within reach of the federal government.

She has the power to destroy the use of fossil fuels - 85% of America's energy - with a word." How ridiculous can you get. The organization is probably financed by EXXON. As near as I can determine, the "Green Tracking Library" is a Joe McCarthy style organization which attacks conservationists and environmentalists instead of communists. Whatever it is it's not a reliable source of information. But of course you aren't looking for reliable sources of information.

Ralph Deeds— How about a respectable print rag:

Or a major newspaper:

As far as Stern goes, I quoted his very words. Do you like them?

People will reap what was sown on November 2008. Most Americans will NEVER see nor hear this because CNN,CNBC,ABC,

NBC,CBS,NPR are on borad with this. Fox is the ONLY televised source and maybe CBN. As an Independent Conservative, I was let down by the G.O.P and I know what the Dems are about. It will get worse before it gets better. The Congressional bills are written by lobbyist which is why none of the members in Congress know whats it them. From the ABA to NAMBLA, thier allies are the Democrats and liberalism is thier goal of making America a socialist Utopia. The elections of 2010 will be a barometer. The youth MUST be mobilized to know they are getting thier futures mortgaged. We can get the young generation back!!! The G.O.P need to get back to Reagan's vision and let the Dems praise Chairman Moa.

James,

Sorry I missed this one and I went ahead on my own CZARdom hubbing.

Your hub went into the specific details with mug shots and the works. Excellent Hub.

I chose to take the overwiew approach that none of the CZARs whether they were bad or not so bad, didn't improve the government in working for the benefit of the people.

Even if you were a supporter for the CZARdom, don't you think that there would be thousands of choices for the safe school CZAR that OBAMA gave to Jennings?

My theory on the Obama CZARS was an election funding payback scheme. Many people think that because the government prevents large donations to presidential candidates that a large organization like lgbt couldn't have circumvented it by making a collective small donation into a large donation along with voting support. Now Obama had to pay them back and get them in the door.

my opinion.

James A Watkins Hub Author 2 years ago

OpinionDuck— I haven't seen your CZARdom Hub yet as I haven't been reading Hubs in a while due to real life distractions. But I have time blocked off this weekend to catch up on what my favorite writers have been up to and that includes you! :)

I will check out your CZARdom Hub in a few days. Thanks for the compliment on this one. The choice of Jennings is baffling.

Your ideas on election payback time make perfect sense considering Obama is from Chicago where patronage is alive and well and in fact the modus operandi of the political machine.

I highly value your opinions. Thanks.

James, I have to agree with Ralph Deeds. There is so much on here that I want to address but wouldn't know exactly where to begin. This guilty by association thing is old and it means little to nothing. Pick any politician and you can probably do the exact same thing if you really want to. The interesting thing is that there are committed folks out there who really want to with this president for some strange reason.

I think Obama is a biracial product of varying influences and ideologies that I just don't think many folks in little town America understand or are ready for. People are afraid of what they think they want---and don't realize they're more "communist" than the entities they try to condemn. That's the magnificent hidden irony of it all. Our fear of everything turns us into morons. True democracy includes freedom of shared ideas. Not "lets define what it means to be a true American and decide what is acceptable and not, who to associate with and who not to etc etc. and if you are outside these codes of conduct and associations, you're a very very bad man with secret agendas out to get us all. We're doomed.

Lets sit around and judge this president by a book one of his buddies may have written once upon a time, lets focus on 10 of 400 or so who check out fine, but focus on this handful and make it mean something. Lets lower our intelligence to assume that Obama is a satanic vessel made up of all of the worst characteristics and ideologies of everyone he's ever been associated with. Let’s throw out some more “socialist” and “Marxism” labels and whip this country back into shape. Because after all he is our main problem----the worst thing we could’ve been duped to elect.

Someone please wake me up when we’re out of the era in which the stupid and the smart think alike, spending precious time drawing intricate maps to nowhere.

James A Watkins Hub Author 2 years ago

druhepkins--- I like Ralph. Is there another politician you can name besides maybe Bernie Sanders who has been influenced throughout his lifetime--and who hangs out with--such a circle of leftist radicals? No one comes to mind.

Varying ideologies? I haven't heard Obama quoting William F. Buckley Jr. or Russell Kirk or Friedrich Hayek or Ronald Reagan. I think most older Americans who lived through the Cold War have a pretty good grip on what Communism is regardless of where they live.

Of course, I agree that we have the freedom of shared ideas. And it doesn't hurt to keep a wary eye on those people whose ideas are contrary to the American Way--envied and copied around much of the world.

I do not use words lightly. Words have meanings. Ideologies are among the powerful things in the world. I don't like the way this group of people thinks about our country. I hardly mentioned Obama himself--that is not the subject of this Hub. I believe that if we elected a president who surrounded himself with current and former Klansmen YOU would object. And you would have every right to.

Thank you for reading. I appreciate your comments.

I enjoy reading opinions contrary to my own, and I do like to debate them at times. It’s a socially healthy habit that we should do. I respect and appreciate your perspective as well. With that said, I’ll go in to my next point.

The guilt by association thing can be dragged all over the place and used by many people when applicable. Sarah Palin’s HUSBAND was a member of The Alaska Independence Party. This is the group that wants Alaska to SECEDE FROM THE UNITED STATES. Todd figured he’d quit in 2002, around the time when Sarah Palin began running for offices that would begin to put her on the radar. The poor thing got back-slapped back into the dunce corner with that one after she was accusing Obama of “palling around” with terrorists. “Palling around” of course meaning-- may have attended the same event and “terrorist” meaning alternative opinion. But “Oh say can you see….“ It doesn’t get more un-American than a secession group affiliation. That tidbit didn’t stop people from thinking she was the cat’s meow still trying to push her to run against Obama in 2012 (what an appropriate year for a Palin presidency btw).

I was initially going to continue on to make a list of politicians and their shady associates, but I began to realize that isn’t the point I’m trying to make. In fact, I think drawing dodgy connections to several other politicians----and believe me I can, will weaken my point, reducing my argument to go tit for tat.

Here’s my real angle: I’m sure you might have a racist or extreme uncle or cousin or friend somewhere in the mix. That wouldn’t make you racist, or extreme. Personally, one of my mentors was one of my college professors. She was brilliant with a doctorate in numerous studies. However she held a lot of resentment toward white people and made many statements indicating that. She would always make angry comments when I met with her privately, I just never responded. I think it stemmed from things she may have gone through. However, I really appreciated my professor and learned a lot from her. I was even seen driving her car doing her favors etc. I just didn’t adhere to EVERYTHING she had to say. It’s as simple as that. I’m my own person. If she called on me today to do something for her or with her I probably would. And sure we had a great teacher-pupil relationship, but her views weren’t mine. I don’t consider race for most things. Some of my best friends in the world that I consider my brothers are white. I’m no racist. Why make a big deal about loose associations? Its an old school dirty political tactic that simply isn’t that noteworthy in many cases. Barack Obama was not proactively involved with any racists, extremist groups, or with terrorists---case closed.

This is the America people just don’t seem to get. We don’t look the same, act the same or all share the same opinions. So what? Our coming together makes us great. ALL these people that you singled out on this page are Americans with their own lives and opinions. I don’t think any of them are trying to overtake the government and indoctrinate society. They have an opinion our democratic nation can agree with or not.

Judge Obama for HIS statements, for HIS actions for HIS decisions, and for HIS eventual results. It seems like people don’t really have too much on the guy so we end up with these fantastic conspiracy theories and degrees of separation accusations. Why should anyone need to do this? We act like sheep in this country and accept propaganda willingly. The sad thing is when the real threats are representing us, they’ll be right in front of us and among us dressed in sheep’s clothing while most of us are looking for wolves in every other direction.

PS-Sorry about the length lol. Just went free-writing a bit.

James A Watkins profile image

James A Watkins Hub Author 2 years ago

druhepkins--- No worries about the length or the substance of your commentary. You are a sharp guy with sound reasoning. I surely don't want to be judged by association either. I agree that Obama's actions should be the basis of the ultimate judgment by us and history. The fact that so many variations of opinion can exist side by side in our nation is indeed a great strength. I very much value your contributions to this thread. I say your comments should stand as they are. Well done! I look forward to reading some of your Hubs soon as well. Thank you.

Thank you very much James. I really appreciated that---honestly.

In certain cases, it's a true sign of intellegence and wisdom when one changes a position or sees something from another perspective. It shows strength of character and an innate allegence to the truth. To assume that our points of view are infallable is cocky and foolish. The unwise are usually stubborn and unwavering for the sake of pride and/or sticking to whatever they chose to believe. Trust me, theres a lot of that around lol. That's the kind of thought process that holds our society back, hinders spiritual growth, and keeps us stuck in the mud on a variety of issues.

I really commend you and I'm glad we can agree.

It was a pleasure contributing to your hub. I'm sure I'll be seeing you around on the hubs. 'till then...

The guilt by association game. I love the fact that every black face is labeled racist. I guess any black person who says anything that is contrary to the beliefs of the white majority now qualifies as racist.

GW’s cronies

Roger Adams (Bush pardon attorney) Racist, fired when he decided that clemency should not be considered for a Nigerian born minister simply based on the fact that he was Nigerian. His explanation (tell if this sounds familiar) "In general and on average, Nigerian immigrants, they commit more crimes than other people," Adams said,

Haley Barbour (x-head of the RNC and supported by Bush during his campaign for Governor) Racist – Linked to the white separatist group CCC.

Bradley Schlozman – Guilty of illegal hiring practices and racism at (get this) The Department of Justice, Civil Rights Division. Bush protected him from any type of prosecution.

George Allen (Va Governor) Racist – Bush campaigned for him after he was caught calling a Asian campaign worker for Webb “macaca”.

Do we even need to discuss the Bush family ties to the savings and loan thefts?

This guilt by association thing is fun…LOL!

James A Watkins profile image

James A Watkins Hub Author 23 months ago

SOBF--- You looked pretty hard to find these examples. I follow politics very closely and I had never heard of Roger Adams, nor did he come up on a Google search. I finally did find him and he was fired for what he said out of concern for political correctness. Considering that every single day I get an email from a Nigerian general wanting to transfer a billion dollars into my bank account--but I don't get any from France, Brazil, China, or anyplace else ever--could it be possible that lying is not considered so bad in their culture? Surely you know that stereotypes--which are wrong--all have a basis in fact.

George Allen I am personally acquainted with and yes "macaca" was an unfortunate choice of words. I don't see how you can equate that with a Marxist revolutionary who preaches racial politics as a matter of routine.

I rightly named exactly TWO men as racists. Considering that there are what, 35 million black Americans? I would be surprised if more than two could not be found. My only complaint is having them work for me in my government.

I did look up Schlozman and couldn't find anything racial. He was investigated and cleared of breaking the law. He used the words "commie" and "pinko." So what?

I am sorry you are so bitter to live in the greatest country in the history of the world. I wish you the best. There are worse places.

SOBF profile image

SOBF Level 1 Commenter 23 months ago

James - Where in my comment do I say I am bitter about living in the US? My point is that guilt by association is a game that can be played by everyone. Judge by the individuals actions (something missing from your entire hub) then point to those issues. I had the joy of watching todays conference on healthcare reform and noticed something strangely missing from the debate. All those crazy charges of socialism, death panels, and complete nationalization of all business functions that was such a great concern of the republican party. It amazed me how tame they became when they where seated in the face of Obama and on national television. Yet, Obama has been Obama throughout this entire process.

We are coming out of Iraq, we have accomplished more in one year in Afghanistan than we did in 7 years under Bush. Obama did what he had to do to overt a financial disaster and now has turned his attention to addressing the cost incurred during that recovery process. Health care reform will increase the standard of living for every American by avoiding the cost of catostrophic illnesses. The market is up, automotive plants are reopening, the banking sector has stabilized, your 401K has begun recovering its losses, banks can no longer milk you with fees, all in one year. Damn that marxist commie for destroying my America...LOL

James A Watkins profile image

James A Watkins Hub Author 23 months ago

SOBF--- I thought I detected bitterness in your words. Perhaps I assumed. I shouldn't have said that. I apologize.

I agree with your basic premise. This particular Hub is not about Obama's actions. That would be a different Hub. This Hub is asking: Are you people aware that these Czars are the most radical people who have ever been allowed near the reins of power in this nation? And that is an absolute fact. They make FDR's guys look like John Birchers.

I applaud Obama's actions in Afghanistan.

"Obama did what he had to do to overt a financial disaster"

That is one opinion. Another is that he took hundreds of billions of dollars from the public treasury and distributed it amongst his supporters--Chicago style.

As with any president, surely some good things have been accomplished by this administration. Thank you for weighing in. Your comments are good and I value them. I appreciate the visit.

SOBF profile image

SOBF Level 1 Commenter 23 months ago

James - You actually believe Obama distributed hundreds of billions of dollars amongst his supporters? Then how do you explain the republicans that rejected the stimulus plan celebrating the projects in their districts funded by the same plan? Are you suggesting that republicans are actually secretly supporting Obama?

James, I love when conservatives throw around the word "radical" as though it’s a threat to this country, when this country was built on radicalism.

Was not the Revolutionary War an act by radicals?

Were abolitionists not seen as radical?

Were not Lincoln views on slavery seen as radical?

Was not Martin Luther King Jr. one of the greatest radicals in history?

Wasn't the entire Women's Rights movement based on a radical agenda?

Even in business, it was Bill Gates radical concept to break away from IBM and create this new operating system called Windows that entrenched the US as the technology leader.

Being radical is being able to think and act outside of the box, now this is bad how?

James A Watkins profile image

James A Watkins Hub Author 23 months ago

SOBF--- A recent study shows that 87% of the Stimulus dollars went to voting districts that were heavily Democrat and helped elect President Obama.

You are right that our Founding Fathers were considered radicals in their day with the ideas of throwing off the yoke of monarchy and establishing a Republic. And yes, all of the people you named could be considered radical. But this does mean therefore that all radicals are good. Lenin, Trotsky, Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, and Hitler were all definitely radicals as well. I do not agree with radical ideas that wish to tear down the foundations what is the greatest nation in the history of the earth, flaws notwithstanding.

He actually took on some tough issues like healthcare, he took out Bin Ladin which Bush couldn't do, he has set some policies in place that have returned the US into a leadership position in the world and has smart ideas about energy policy.
